The tomatoes are ripe! Harvest!
The industrial tomatoes in the Yanqi Basin of Xinjiang have been ripening one after another, officially kicking off the 2026 harvest season. Relying on intelligent harvesting equipment, precise color sorting and sorting, as well as digital platform coordination and scheduling, the industrial tomato harvesting has innovated the traditional harvesting mode, achieving efficient connection throughout the entire chain of field harvesting, screening, and transportation, effectively promoting the bumper harvest, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement of the tomato industry.
On July 26th, in the tomato fields located in Yanqi County, clusters of bright red tomatoes were densely attached to the vines, presenting a scene of abundant harvest. In the levelled ridges, intelligent tomato harvesting machines worked efficiently, completing the entire process of fruit picking, transportation, and loading in an automated manner throughout the operation. After harvesting, the fresh tomatoes were immediately loaded onto trucks and transported as soon as the trucks were full, achieving zero accumulation of fresh fruits in the fields and seamless connection of transportation. They firmly seized the best harvest window period for tomatoes and significantly increased the harvesting efficiency. The estimated yield per mu reached 8 tons, with a notable increase compared to previous years.

To ensure the quality of tomato raw materials from the source, the harvesting machinery is equipped with a high-precision intelligent color sorting system. Relying on the exclusive chromatographic recognition technology, it can complete the initial screening during the harvesting process, distinguish between red fruits and green fruits, and quickly remove debris such as soil clumps and dead branches from the field. This effectively builds a quality defense line for tomato raw materials at the field level. The color sorting recognition accuracy of the equipment is extremely high, capable of accurately removing over 95% of green fruits, soil clumps, and other impurities, ensuring the purity and quality of the tomato raw materials during the harvesting and loading process, and laying a good foundation for subsequent processing.
The high-quality fresh tomatoes that have been selected and sorted will be uniformly transported to the intelligent factory for further processing. Relying on the fully automated intelligent production line, standardized and large-scale production of tomato products can be achieved.
